John King

ImageJohn King is committed to education, music and kids. So he seemed a perfect fit to work with the Rainbow Song Foundation. John has been a member of several musical ensembles including acoustic guitar and vocal groups, hard rock bar bands, and a children’s music pop quartet.  He is a graduate of the Rainbow Songs teacher training program and has taught music programs to children through Rainbow Songs Inc. for two years. He has recorded numerous CDs as both a solo artist and band member.   But it was while living in Japan for five years, working at a kindergarten, that John developed an interest in music education of children.  Through his experiences developing music programs for toddlers, he wrote and arranged songs for several children’s CDs, reflecting his wide variety of influences.

John has run music programs for the Rainbow Songs Founation at Robertson House.

Cathy de Goede

Cathy has always been passionate about music. Being someone who wants to share her love of music with others and in particular children, Cathy decided to pursue a career in early childhood music education. She studied ECE (Early Childhood Education) at George Brown College in Toronto. She has taught children in many inner city child care centres and schools across the city, and incorporated music into all programs she has been a part of  - including her two years as an ESL teacher in South Korea. While there, she developed programs integrating music and language education. Cathy is currently employed by Rainbow Songs Inc. as an instructor of music to young children. A tireless learner, she continues to studie the Orff, Kodaly and Dalcroze methods. She is happy to bring her expertise to help with the mission of the Rainbow Songs Foundation

Cathy has run programs for the Rainbow Songs Foundation at the Red Door Shelter.

Kristina Uranowski

ImageKristina has grown up with music in her bones. Born to a conductor father and flautist mother, she has always been surrounded by the excitement of song.

Trained since age four as a tap dancer, she found passion in stage work. She discovered in her teens that her singing voice was even more powerful than her dancing feet. After participating in countless school and community productions, she decided to pursue her passion for musical theatre by attending Sheridan Institute's Music Theatre Performance program.

A love for teaching has spawned from her love of performance. Kristina enjoys being able to share knowledge, experience and music that has helped her grow and has made her happy.  She often conducts Musical Theatre Dance workshops through the Janice Lynn School of Dance, and the British Association of Teachers of Dance, and also works as a teaching guitar at the Whitby Montessori School. She is ecstatic to be the newest addition to the Rainbow Songs team.
