The Truth About Child Poverty
Young families are the fastest growing demographic within the shelter system in our city, facing issues like domestic violence, poverty, and homelessness. These issues drastically impact the social, emotional, and intellectual development of children, perpetuating and widening the gap between the economically advantaged and disadvantaged in our community.
Music Makes a Difference
Our goal is to help address that gap by offering high-quality music education to young families who may not otherwise have access to this type of experience. We know that music nurtures the soul and research shows that music education provides real and lasting benefits to youth. By giving parents the skills and tools to make music with their children, RSF seeks to make a real difference in families' lives today and in the future.
